Upcoming Event: Emily Faux on Representing Nuclear War

Please join us in person or online for our next Visual Politics event with Emily Faux from Newcastle University, who is with us in person.

Wed 9 April 5-6pm

In Person: St Lucia Campus, Building 39a, room 501

On Zoom: Please RSVP here.

Emily is a PhD Candidate at Newcastle University, UK.  Her thesis seeks to understand the role of popular imaginaries as a source of knowledge about nuclear weapons and war.  Our event this Wednesday is designed to provide Emily with feedback on her methods, which revolve around visual collage and other creative ways to investigate the politics of visuality and narratives.

Emily has already established an impressive publication record, including articles in Media, War & ConflictReview of International Studies, Feminist Theory, and, most recently, Critical Studies on Security.

Emily is with us until 14 April and keen to meet you.  If you are interested in her work, come along on Wednesday or/and get in touch with her directly at:  E.Faux2@newcastle.ac.uk.
